Welcome to San Diego, America’s Finest City, and site of the
2010 USABF Senior World Series.
Tournament Entry Fee:
This year’s entry fee $995.
Tournament Giveaways:
Giveaways include two dozen baseballs, USABF Tournament
Handbook, Game Line-up cards, and much more.
Tournament Central:
Will be open and available
daily to provide you with the most up to date information and
directions one hour prior to the first game until the completion of
each day’s games.
Check-in:
Tournament check-in location will be announced at a later
date. All teams are
required to check-in Friday, July 30, between 1:00 and 6:00 pm. As
part of the check-in process, each team will be required to submit
its final roster and certificate of insurance.
If you don’t have proof of insurance you will be required to
purchase one at a cost of $189 per team. This policy will be good
for the entire 2010 season expiring December 31, 2010.
Vendor Show:
The USABF is excited to announce the return of its Vendor
Show as part of this year’s check-in.
More than 25 vendors are expected to participate in the 2010
show. Please refer to
our Vendor Show page at
www.usabf.com for a complete listing of these years
participating vendors.
Manager and Coaches Meeting:
Managers and coaches will be notified of the meeting location
in advance of the tournament. At this meeting a complete review of
all tournament information will be discussed and playoff brackets
will be distributed.
Every team should plan on sending a representative.
Academy Division:
The Criteria to
participate in the Academy Division is that players must have High
School eligibility remaining or be of the age 17 and under.
This is not a 17 and under division.
Players who are 18 years old may play in this division as
long as they will be retuning to High School in the fall of 2010.
For those players a report card for 2010 will be required
along with proof of birth at the check-in.
This report card will have to show that they were in grade 11
or lower during the 2010 spring grading period.

NOTE:
Special scheduling requests will need to be submitted in writing
prior to July 10, 2010.
Format:
Each team will play 6 pool games between Saturday
and Wednesday, double
elimination starts Thursday for qualifying teams, a maximum of half
of the teams will advance to the double elimination, all pool games
are critical not only for seeding but for continued play throughout
the tournament. Playoff
brackets will be distributed at the Managers Meeting.
Playing Facilities:
The USABF is proud of its playing facilities. We believe that
our College and High School facilities are second to none.
Each playing venue receives complete field maintenance before
and after every game, and most of them have indoor restrooms and a
full snack bar. Championship Game Time Schedule:

Admission:
Managers need to remind parents of the
daily admission charge - $7 for adults and $3 for youth 17 years and
younger. Admission is
valid at all facilities for the entire day at any facilities.
A tournament pass will be available for the
Pool Games only
for a cost of $30.
This pass is good for all games Saturday, July 31
through Wednesday, August 4.
Tournament passes will be available for sale at the entrance
of all fields on Saturday July 31. Admission
for the double elimination games will be $5 per adult (same per game
price as the tournament passes) and $3 per youth, per day.
The tournament passes sold on
Saturday, July 31 are not valid for double elimination games, since
all teams do not qualify for double elimination.
Tournament Handbook:
All teams will be given a copy of the 2010 Tournament
Handbook. This handbook
will include general tournament information, schedule of pool games,
directions to USABF venues, USABF official rules and elimination
brackets. Handbooks will
be emailed to Managers and Coaches prior to the tournament and can
be printed in whole or in part.
Tournament Roster:
The tournament roster for this division is limited to 22
players. Please download the official roster form from our website.
This form is optional.
If you use a different roster form, please be sure that the
players name, birth date, AND
uniform number are included.
Incomplete rosters will not be accepted.
Program rosters
are very important for the many of our followers.
Your Official Tournament Roster is due at Check-in. You must
submit a roster for the program no later than July 25, 2010 via
e-mail at usabf@cox.net or fax it
to our Corporate Office at (619) 271-6659.
Lodging:
Several
San Diego hotels have set aside rooms for USABF tournaments. To view

Rental Car:
The USABF has contracted Enterprise Rental-A-Car as the
Official Rental Car agency for its teams and supporters.
