Play Ball:  Welcome to the California State Capital, Sacramento Ca. and the 2009 USABF Capital Classic.  . 

 

Tournament Entry Fee:  This year’s entry fee is $750 which includes a dozen baseballs, lineup cards and a minimum of 2 umpires per game.

 

Friend of a Friend Discount: Have a friend who has a team that has never played in an USABF event? Convince them to enter a tournament and you receive a $100.00 credit for your next USABF Tournament.

 

Tournament Central:  Tournament Central will be located at the entrance to McAuliffe Baseball Complex and will be open daily to provide you with the most up-to-date information. Tournament Central will open one hour prior to the first game and remain open until the end of the day.

 

Check-in:  Tournament check-in will start at 12:00 pm Thursday June 18, 2009.  The first game of the tournament will start at 2:00 pm on Thursday.  Each team is required to check-in at least one hour before their first game to pick up their Manager’s Handbook, baseballs and lineup cards.  Final rosters and certificate of insurance must be submitted at check in.  Teams without proof of insurance will be required to purchase a policy before playing (Cost is $189.00).  This policy will be good for the entire 2009 season (December 31, 2009)

 

Schedule:  The tournament schedule will be available at our website WWW.USABF.COM no later than June 16, 2009.  This year’s format has teams playing 4 pool games Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with all teams advancing to the Single elimination on Sunday

 

Playing Facilities: The USABF is proud of its playing facilities and pays fees in excess of $100,000 annual for the rights to use top quality fields. We believe that the McAuliffe Baseball Complex, as well as the College and High School facilities used for USABF events are second to none.  Each playing venue receives complete field maintenance before and after every game. Most have indoor restrooms and a full snack bar

 

Admission:  Managers, please remind your parents and fans that admission is charged for all USABF tournament games. Daily admission is $7.00 for adults and $3.00 for children and is valid at all facilities for the entire day.  A tournament pass will be available for sale, good for all 4 days. The pass is sold for $25.

 

Manager’s Handbook:  All teams will be given a Managers Handbook that includes the tournament schedule, playoff brackets, directions to all the facilities and, the official USABF tournament rules

 

Tournament Roster:  Roster limit is 22 players, Please download the official roster form our website. Rosters are very important for the many followers including Major League Scouts, College Coaches, Sponsors, and Supporters. Remember, this is NOT your OFFICIAL ROSTER.  Your Official Tournament Roster is due at Check-in on June 18, 2009.
