            Play Ball: Welcome to the first annual Capital Classic, hosted in the state capital, Sacramento California.  This year’s event is sponsored by Tarsadia Hotels.  This event should set the standards for the remainder of the 2008 tournament season, best of luck in your team’s participation.

Tournament Entry Fee:    This years entry fee is $800.00   included is a dozen baseballs and the  USABF Media Guide, each team is guaranteed 5 games, with a minimum of  2 officials per game.  The winner of this event will receive an automatic paid birth into the USABF Wood Bat National Championships held in San Diego California, July 21-27, 2008 

             Tournament Central:  Will be located at the McAuliffe Baseball Complex. Tournament Central will be open to provide you with the most up-to-date information and directions from one hour prior to the first game until the completion of each day’s games.

Check-in:  Tournament check-in will take place at the McAuliffe Baseball Complex beginning at 8:00 am Thursday, June 26.  Games start at 9:00 am.  Each team is required to check-in one hour before their first game, where they will submit their final roster and certificate of insurance.  Without proof of insurance you will be required to purchase a policy to play (Cost is $189.00).  The policy will be good for the entire 2008 season (until December 31,  2008)

Schedule:  The tournament schedule will be available June 15.  You can access the schedule at WWW.USABF.COM.  Each team will play 5 pool games, scheduled Thursday through Saturday.   The top 6 teams will advance to Sunday’s (June 22) single elimination championship round.   

Playing Facilities:  The USABF is proud of its playing facilities and we believe our facilities are second to none.  Each playing venue receives complete field maintenance before and after every game - most have indoor restrooms and a full snack bar.

Admission:  All Managers are reminded to inform their parents of the daily admission $7.00 for adults and $3.00 for students and children - 17 years or younger.  Admission is valid at all facilities for the entire day.

             Tournament Roster:  Roster limit is 22 players, Please download the official roster form from our website. This form is optional. Should you prefer to use your own version, please include the player’s name, birth date, address and uniform number.  incomplete rosters will not be ACCEPTED.  Program rosters are very important for the many followers including Major League Scouts, College Coaches, Sponsors, and Supporters. Remember, this is NOT your OFFICIAL ROSTER, your Official Tournament Roster is due at Check-in. Your must submit a roster for the program no later than June 15.  You can either send it via e-mail at usabf@cox.net or fax it to our Corporate Office at 619-271-6659.  Failure to provide a roster by June 15 will result in an additional $50.00 fee.

            Lodging:  The USABF has contracted with various hotels within the Sacramento area.  For more information please contact our Accommodations Coordinator at 619-881-4715 for additional information.
